You can undertake short sales courses (known as ‘Awards’) individually, each leading to a nationally recognised sales qualification in their own right. Doing multiple awards leads to a certificate or diploma. Qualifications are available at levels 3, 4 and 5.
Level 3 Sales Qualifications
Sales and Marketing for Salespeople
Level 3 sales qualifications are ideal if you have no prior formal sales training or if you’re new to a sales role. Each Award can be completed in a matter of hours and they will equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to improve your sales performance.
Qualifications include: 11 individual awards, a certificate or a diploma.
Level 3 NVQ in Sales (QCF)
Achievement at Level 3 reflects the ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to complete tasks and address problems that, while well defined, have a measure of complexity. It includes taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks and procedures as well as exercising autonomy and judgment within limited parameters. It also reflects awareness of different perspectives or approaches within an area of study or work.
Level 4 Sales Qualifications

Level 4 sales qualifications are designed for sales professionals in an operational sales role, often managing others and allocating resources. They cover theoretical sales, practical sales, marketing knowledge and the skills required to succeed in the workplace.
Qualifications include: 8 individual awards, a certificate or a diploma.
Level 5 Sales Qualifications

A level 5 sales qualification reflects the ability to identify and use relevant understanding, methods and skills to address problems that are broadly-defined but complex and non-routine. It includes taking responsibility for planning and developing courses of action.
Qualifications include: 12 individual awards, a certificate or a diploma.
